Abstract

Over the past decades, limb reconstruction has positioned itself as a unique discipline in orthopedic surgery, despite pursuing the ultimate goal of the specialty: straight (Orthos), Child (paidos). The key to success lies in detailed preoperative planning, which allows knowing in advance the implants to be used, their measurements, and the position in which they will remain. PLIRSP is a simple, fun, low-cost, and widely available method that allows for step-by-step and didactic surgical planning. From a pedagogical point of view, PLIRSP requires the user to actively perform each surgical step, immediately identifying possible secondary deformities and enabling the development of alternative strategies
